Honor Cabot is very headstrong and determined. George Easton is a rake and of the wrong side of the blanket as they say, a bastard son of the prince. Honor is such a great character and heroine.
Honor was a gutsy, incorrigible, head strong heroine for her day and age. Honor is self serving, pushy, impetuous, scheming, and brazen. I like that Honor takes things into her own hands. Its also a great scheme in theory that she had, that Monica should realize that Augustine might not be the best match for her. But I think she should have maybe picked someone a bit better suited to Monica's taste-someone with a title!

Monica Hargrove was a total bitch for most of
the book, until she realized the truth of some things, like her own mother.
Honor's
stepbrother, Augustine, is such a pushover, totally influenced by even
the littlest things. He has no back bone, in my opinion.
The story over all was wonderful, and keeps you reading without wanting to take a break.
